A limited and numbered edition capsule that pays tribute to one of the most iconic buildings in Barcelona.
The Santa Maria del Mar Basilica is the greatest example of Catalan Gothic architecture and was built by the people of Barcelona themselves in the 14th century. Today, it is considered one of the most important buildings in the city and a masterpiece of medieval engineering.
Santa Maria del Mar is closely linked to Etnia Barcelona, not only because it is one of the city’s historical landmarks, but also because it shares a location in the Born neighborhood, one of the ones with the most history and artistic and cultural legacy.
The capsule is also inspired by the colors and light reflecting through Santa Maria del Mar’s stained-glass windows. The light projected through the intense colors and geometric patterns of the windows creates a magical atmosphere inside the Basilica.
The collection consists of two models of acetate sunglasses in black: SANTA MARIA and ESPASERIA.
Both frames designs are faithful to the gothic forms of the Basilica and all the details displayed on them can be seen both on the outside and inside of the building.
